Singer, Asake has shared insights on how humility and ego are perceived in the music industry
According to Asake, he said humility as an artist can lead to being taken for granted.
On the flip side, displaying ego can make fans and audiences like an artist more because they might see the artist as less accessible.
Asake believes that people prefer seeing results rather than being shown how things are done.
He thinks showing the process isn’t appreciated as much as showing the outcome.
Asake’s words: “As an artist, if you’re humble, they take you for granted. But if you have ego they feel like you’re not accessible then they like you more. People would rather see what you’re doing than showing them. They don’t really appreciate it. Do what you need to do and just go.”
