Leonardo DiCaprio looked absolutely mortified after he was stopped and searched by police officers who didn’t recognize him
Academy Award-winning actor Leo is arguably one of the most recognizable people on the planet. Still, clearly, the two Spanish officers who stopped him didn’t know who the Titanic star was.
The 50-year-old actor and his friends were seen being held up by cops in Ibiza before entering a tequila party, which was held at a private villa, in a new video . Leo, who was wearing an all-black outfit and a baseball cap, checked his phone as he waited to be searched.
In the background of the video, obtained by the Daily Mail, a woman can be heard saying, “They are searching me full-on right now.” However, it’s not known whether the woman speaking is Vittoria Ceretti, 27, Leo’s long-term girlfriend, who was vacationing with him at the time.
However, according to an insider who spoke to Page Six, the Killers of the Flower Moon actor was not singled out by officers. “Every single person was patted down and ID’d,” the source explained, noting that there were many other celebrities at the party, but Spanish police just didn’t initially recognize Leo. “It’s funny,” the source said. “They did a double take and then he went in!”
