In a tense moment at the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, police arrested a man attempting to attack protesters with a knife
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was seen approaching the protesters with a knife.
Security personnel quickly intervened, disarming and apprehending the individual.
The motive behind the attempted attack is currently unknown, but it has raised concerns about the safety of protesters exercising their right to peaceful assembly.
The #EndBadGovernance protests, which began on August 1, 2024, aim to address economic hardship, inflation, and police brutality.
