The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a man, identified as Olubunmi Johnson, for allegedly setting his wife, Kikelomo, on fire.
This allegedly happened in their apartment on Fagbuyi Street, Ilogbo, in the Ota area of Ogun State
An eyewitness said the incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, following a domestic dispute.
While the exact circumstances leading to the confrontation remain unclear at the time of this report, the spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola told a Punch correspondent that Johnson has been detained in connection with the crime.
A neighbour who witnessed the incident alerted the victim’s relatives, who then informed the police about what is now being investigated as an attempted m3rder.
