Pastor Enoch Adeboye of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, has retracted his statement on tithing.
The man of God had said, Christians who don’t pay tithe may not make heaven
Retracting his words yesterday during a ministration, Adeboye described his earlier claim as false.
Quoting Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see God,” Adeboye clarified that peaceful and holy living, not tithing, are the prerequisites for entering heaven.
“I am sorry for saying that if you don’t pay tithe you won’t go to heaven. That is not in the Bible. What the Bible says is, follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man will make heaven.”
