Renowned music producer and music executive, ID Cabasa, has confessed he cried when Olamide left his record label

Cabasa disclosed this, in an interview with Adesope Olajide for Afrobeats Podcast.
He began the story of how he met the now famous rapper when he was just 13. He said he came to his studio to record a song with a friend.
Cabasa revealed what firsy caught his attention was Olamide’s 16 bars on the mic.
He said, their son/father relationship then began, and it was painful when he was leaving.
“It wasn’t the pain of not wanting him to progress; it was the pain of seeing someone you love leave,” he said, revealing that he even shed tears during their discussion.
However, he gave Olamide his full blessings.
Olamide started his own record label, YBNL Nation, in 2012.
YBNL is home to superstars like Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Asake, and Fireboy DML.
