In a social media post, Terry G dismissed the accusations as “pure ignorance,” arguing that as a featured artist on the track, he has every right to perform it.

Terry G maintained that he never claimed ownership of the song, noting that it was never included in any of his albums.

He suggested that critics are being hypocritical, as other artists often perform collaborative works without similar backlash.

Terry G also took a swipe at his detractors.

He wrote: “To those saying I stole ‘Pass Me Your Love’ from Ay.com- that’s pure ignorance. So I don’t have the right to perform a song I collaborated on?

“Your favourite artists do it all the time, but when it’s me, it becomes a problem. Hypocrisy at its finest.

” And no, I didn’t put the song on my album – it was never about ownership, it was about collaboration.

“Some of you ruined AY’s moment with your noise, not me. As for my shine, nobody can block it. You no reach.”
