TV host Morayo Afolabi-Brown has bravely shared her struggles with depression and su!c!dal thoughts
After a 12-year stint hosting “Your View” on TVC, Morayo said she felt trapped and uncertain about her future, leading to a deep emotional crisis.
In an interview with Chude, she confessed to having su!c!dal thoughts, including a harrowing moment where she walked on a highway hoping to be hit by a car.
However, Morayo has since found a new sense of purpose and clarity, which ultimately led her to resign and pursue new opportunities, marking a hopeful new chapter in her life.
She said: “I was depressed. At a point, I was su!c!dal. I walked on the express, hoping a car would hit me. It was that bad.
“It was when we [TVC] were ten years that I knew that it was time [for me] to go to the next thing.
“I have been harbouring that thought for a while but I didn’t know how to go about it. But last year, I got that light-bulb moment,”
