Wumi Toriola has reacted to conversations about her age sparked by a scene online
The buzz followed a video that emerged on Saturday, April 25, 2026, capturing an awkward but amusing interaction between her and content creator Enioluwa Adeoluwa at a public event.
In the footage, Enioluwa casually addressed her as “Wumi,” which didn’t sit well with the actress

She had been chatting with Ini Edo and Eniola Ajao when the exchange happened, and she immediately challenged his choice of greeting.
Speaking in Yoruba, she questioned the familiarity, prompting Enioluwa to quickly apologise. He then adjusted his tone, referring to her as “Aunty Wunmi” and adding playful compliments that eased the tension and drew laughter.
As the clip gained traction and triggered speculation about her age, Toriola took to her Instagram story to set the record straight. She pointed out that she finished secondary school in 2003, hinting that people should calculate her age themselves, while also noting that her youthful appearance is a common trait in her family.
“I saw people debating my age. Nor be everybody ise dey gbo o, na all my family get baby face. I finished sec school in 2003 (I repeat o do the maths) 16 nor dey enter uni that time o,”, she wrote.
