Actress Nkechi Blessing has given critics a new revelation about her past relationships, over her comments on Baba Ijesha and Luminee’s Baby announcement.
The backlash started after she expressed surprise over the news, which led some social media users to drag her personal life and relationships into the discussion.
Responding via her Instagram story, the actress fired back at critics, insisting that none of her former partners could be described as a pedophile, due to Baba Ijesha’s past conviction for se.xually assaulting a minor.
She later followed up with a video message where she defended herself and her relationship choices, stressing that she has never been abandoned by any man she has dated.
According to her, she is financially independent in her relationships and has always been the one to walk away when she is no longer interested, not the other way around.
She also pushed back against online claims that she “changes men like clothes,” saying such comments are meant to insult her and misrepresent her lifestyle.
Nkechi maintained that she is entitled to express her opinion on social media issues, regardless of public criticism or attempts to silence her.
In her words: “No man I’ve dated has ever left me. How can they leave me when I was the breadwinner? I am the one who leaves men when I am tired, so don’t think you can insult me by saying I change men like clothes. I am allowed to give my two cents on issues on social media.”
