Actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has expressed joy over her latest film “The Uprising,” making waves in cinemas
In a video posted on Instagram, Omoni reintroduced herself as a strong woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and filmmaker with a bold declaration of making the best movie out of Nigeria.
According to her, the film’s positive reviews, especially from her sons, have brought her immense joy.
She wrote on Instagram: “Allow me to reintroduce myself! My name is OMONI OBOLI (OMoney) Strong woman, wife, mother, grandmother, filmmaker, etc, and I made THE BEST MOVIE out of Nigeria without a doubt!

“The thing that has given me the most joy about the release of THE UPRISING is that we have no mid-reviews! At this point, if you haven’t gone out to watch it in Nigeria, Canada, the UK, or Francophone Africa, you are missing the most impactful and intriguing movie you’ll see this year. Yes, I said it!
“My goodness! My sons couldn’t stop talking when we got home! They said they couldn’t even compare it to other Nollywood movies, so they were comparing it to Hollywood!
My sons were brought up watching movies, and their taste in movies is very high, but for over 2 hours, they dissected THE UPRISING and gave it 10/10. My joy is complete! I am satisfied!
