Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule has opened up about one of the darkest periods of his life, revealing how he once lost hope and struggled to see a future for himself.
Speaking during an interview, the actor recounted how things became so difficult for him while he was in Abeokuta that he even went as far as pricing his own casket.
He revealed that fellow actor Olaiya Igwe was present during that emotional moment and was deeply moved, breaking down in tears.
Dele Odule explained that at the time, he felt completely stuck and discouraged, especially seeing people he once schooled with progressing in life while he struggled to find his footing.
He said;
“i have price my own c@sket before when everything and my life was in shambles, in Abeokuta. i didn’t get myself anymore, i don’t believe i can breakthrough. Olaiya Igwe knows about it, i went there with him, he started crying like a baby. i believed i can’t breakthrough. people i went to Teacher Training College with became captain, major…”
His revelation comes shortly after he launched his film village, marking a major milestone in his career and highlighting how far he has come despite the challenges he once fa ced.
