Mary Njoku has expressed confusion over the high number of impressive CVs and companies still struggling to find employees
On her Instagram page, she noted that she sees people without jobs and impressive CVs, yet companies are still struggling to hire good people.
She wrote;
”You read a CV , it’s solid, well-written, ticks all the boxes. Then you sit down with the person… and something doesn’t connect. It feels like something went wrong somewhere in the middle.
This isn’t about intelligence or effort. A lot of people are working hard. But CVs have quietly become marketing documents, not true reflections of capability. Titles are inflated, responsibilities are aspirational, and polish has replaced depth.
There’s a real disconnect between what looks good on paper and what shows up in the room”.
