Lagos socialite and nightlife entrepreneur Pretty Mike has revealed that he spent more than N100 million to refurbish his nightclub, Proxy Lagos, after it was shut down by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency
He disclosed this while speaking to journalists at the venue, explaining that the upgrade became necessary after the prolonged closure of the club, which lasted several months.

Pretty Mike said the shutdown period stretched for about nine months and took a toll on both his finances and emotional well-being, as well as that of his team.
“I spent over N100 million renovating the club. After everything that happened, I felt there was a need to rebuild and create something even better for people who support my business,” he said.
He added that despite the setback, he was able to stay financially stable through different income streams and backing from close associates and family members.
“The brand, Pretty Mike, is always making money. That is what has kept me afloat regardless,” he stated.
Speaking further, he noted that his business interests go beyond nightlife, highlighting his involvement in other sectors.
“I have a construction firm. I’m also slightly into real estate where I build and sell properties. Then, of course, there’s family support. People feel safe investing with me because they know I’m not the type to disappear,” he added.
