Actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has disclosed that she began earning meaningful income from acting eight years ago despite joining the industry in 2001
Speaking in a video, the actress recounted on how financially challenging the early stages of her career were, noting that actors were often underpaid at the time.

She said:
“I just started making money 8 years ago, and I’ve been in the film industry since 2001. Back then, we acted and got peanuts, but we did it just to survive,”
