Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has revealed a personal vow he made to God — to build 1,000 churches before he leaves the earth

Addressing his congregation during a recent sermon, Oyedepo recalled making the commitment long before he had any financial means.
“Before I had the first bank account, I said, ‘Jesus, if you ever bless me, I want to be part of building new churches,’” he said.
He continued, “How many have heard that before? You’ve always heard everything.”
Highlighting the depth of his commitment, Oyedepo said his goal is to leave behind a visible legacy of service.
“I told Jesus, I don’t want to come to heaven without a thousand churches built in your name,” he declared.
He went on to challenge members of the church to evaluate their own willingness to serve God, pointing out that many people have resources they refuse to use for the kingdom.
“Some may even have buses that are doing nothing on Sunday, but they won’t bring them out. Because, ah, N2,000 per half litre,” he said. “If it’s in your heart, go put it in your heart.”
Encouraging his listeners to take spiritual responsibility, Oyedepo concluded:
“Over to you — you better wake up. Can I tell you something? Everybody’s a reflection of where he belongs. It’s time you start reflecting what happens in here.”
