Veteran actress Moji Afolayan has bravely shared her experience of being blacklisted in the Nigerian film industry for refusing to offer s3xual favors to influential figures

In an interview on Ojumomo TV, Afolayan alleged that certain producers, directors, and production managers conspired against her, denying her acting opportunities because she rejected their advances.
Afolayan warned young actresses against compromising themselves, emphasizing that such actions can have long-term consequences.
She condemned the widespread culture of sexual harassment, noting that many perpetrators know the husbands of their victims and brag about their alleged conquests like trophies.
She stated: “Actresses, don’t give yourselves to any movie producer, director, or even production manager. It will tell in the future. Because I did not warm the beds of these producers, it affected my career. They will agree amongst themselves that I must not be given roles.”
“These culprits will tell me, ‘Is it only your husband?’ and I will tell them to just be on their own. Thank goodness I did not give in. Now, these guys will list all those they have slept with like trophies.”
