Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has cleared the air on his recent arrest rumour, saying he was only INVITED concerning a case which has to do with his church MEMBER, and that he was never arrested

It was previously reported that the Pastor was detained in connection with real estate fraud and money laundering.
However, in a video message to his congregation that surfaced on social media on December 8, 2024, he clarified that he was invited to provide assistance in an investigation.
In his address, Pastor Bolaji explained that the investigation was related to a church member who has been accused of financial misconduct, though he refrained from naming anyone involved.
He also expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support from his congregation throughout this challenging time, emphasizing that the investigation is still ongoing.
He stated, “Let me be clear: I was invited to assist, not arrested. The Police reached out to me to help with an investigation concerning a church member facing some issues.
“There’s so much more I would like to share, but since this case is still under investigation, I must respect the privacy of those involved. These individuals have families—wives, children, and relatives. If I were to name anyone now, it could cause irreparable harm to their lives.
“I trust the Police to handle the situation while I step back to allow them to do their work.
“Thank you for your continued trust and support, even before the facts were made clear.”
