The man who previously accused Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe, founder of Genesis Global, of having an idol that he worships at home has cried out for forgiveness, saying the allegation was entirely false.
He explained that he had been going through a difficult period and was dealing with serious depression at the time. According to him, some of his friends advised him to start taking alcohol, telling him it would help him deal with the things he was constantly thinking about.
He said the day he made the accusations against Pastor Genesis was actually his first time taking alcohol. He claimed that he was heavily influenced by the alcohol when he made the statements and that what he said about Genesis was not true.
In an emotional plea, he asked Nigerians and Pastor Genesis for forgiveness, insisting that the allegation was a lie.
He said:
“Please Nigerians, help me, I was only under the influence of alcohol. That was my first time ever taking alcohol.. It’s a lie, Genesis didn’t have any Idol at home. Please, Genesis I beg you, pity me, it was alcohol “.
He has now publicly taken back the allegation and maintained that Pastor Genesis did not have any idol at home, saying his earlier claims were made while he was under the influence of alcohol.
