In a candid interview on WithChude, Ex BBNaija housemate Kassia Sule shared a surprising revelation about her marriage to Kellyrae
Despite their 10-year courtship, Kassia admitted that she wasn’t ready for marriage when Kellyrae proposed.
Kassia explained that her mindset had shifted in 2023, and she no longer viewed marriage as a source of fulfillment. Instead, she focused on self-improvement and personal growth. However, when Kellyrae finally proposed, Kassia accepted, despite her initial uncertainty.
Kassia also credited her best friend’s encouragement for helping her navigate her doubts, and the couple eventually tied the knot in February 2024.
She said:
“I have been waiting forever to get married to him, but he delayed, so it happened in 2024. I wasn’t surprised when he proposed but at the time he did, I wasn’t ready for marriage.
“First, I was ready, but by the time he did, I was not. Three years before he proposed, I was ready for marriage; I do not know if it was because of the pressure I was getting from my family, but in 2023, everything changed.
“At that time, I knew it was not about marriage; it was not a fulfillment. My perspective changed so I thought to be a better person before getting into marriage.
“So, when he proposed, I accepted, but in my mind, I was not sure I was ready. I was happy but confused. I told my best friend, and she encouraged me. We got married, and it has been amazing since then.”
