Natasha Osawaru Idibia, the wife of Nigerian music star, 2Baba, has declared her ambition to become President of Nigeria
Natasha who is a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, made the declaration during the 92nd birthday celebration of her grandfather, Gabriel Igbinedion, in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking at the ceremony, Osawaru showered praise on Igbinedion, describing him affectionately as her “baby” and expressing her admiration for him as he grows older.
She also promised her grandfather that she would work towards becoming Nigeria’s president while he is still alive.
“You are amazing, you are like my baby right now, I love you so much. As you age, you become sweeter and better, it is so amazing to be around you grandpa. I promise you that I will be the president of this country before you go,” she said.
A video showing the lawmaker making the remarks at the birthday celebration has circulated widely on social media.
Natasha represents the Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly and was recently appointed the assembly’s Minority Leader.
She married 2Baba in July 2025, months after his highly publicised separation from his former wife, Annie Macaulay.
The couple later held a dedication ceremony for their first child together in February, 2026.
