Legendary British actor Timothy West, whose remarkable career spanned over six decades in television and theater, passed away at the age of 90.
Known for his roles in ‘Brass’, ‘Edward the Seventh’, ‘EastEnders’, and ‘Great Canal Journeys’ alongside his wife, ‘Fawlty Towers’ star Prunella Scales, West died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.

His children, Juliet, Samuel, and Joseph West, shared the news on social media, stating he passed “peacefully in his sleep with his friends and family at the end.”
West married Prunella in 1963, a decade before she famously portrayed Sybil Fawlty in ‘Fawlty Towers’.

Prunella was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2014.
Together, they had two sons: Joseph and actor Samuel West, who currently stars in ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.
West also had a daughter, Juliet, from his first marriage to actor Jacqueline Boyer.
