Media personality Morayo Brown has shared her thoughts on the relationship between celebrity stylist Luminee and actor Baba Ijesha, saying that while no one can stop a woman from falling in love, certain situations should be handled with sensitivity.
Speaking on the matter, Brown said:
“Nobody is stopping a woman from falling in love. But if you’re going to fall in love with an ex-convict, be discreet about it and don’t make it loud on social media. You don’t have to make it loud on social media. How then do you want the family of the little girl to feel?”
Morayo also addressed said that Luminee may be struggling with low self-esteem because of her choice of partner. She questioned why someone with Luminee’s accomplishments would settle for Baba Ijesha.
“Some people say it’s because Luminee has low self-esteem. For a single mother who has worked hard to make a name for herself, she has been there even before all those Veekee James and other big stylists in Nigeria. She has been there all the way, made a name for herself, achieved money and fame, yet ended up with someone like Baba Ijesha. It says it all. Luminee and Baba Ijesha are far apart, and she has stooped so low for Baba Ijesha”, she stated.
Brown’s statement come about 2weeks after Luminee and Baba Ijesha announced the arrival of their baby boy, King Kagar Omiyinka, on June 15, 2026. Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju Omiyinka, returned to public life after his release from prison in November 2025 following his conviction in a child-related case.
The announcement of their baby’s arrival shocked many and attracted renewed attention online.
