IGP appoints new CPs for Lagos, Ogun, other states

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has approved new appointments for Commissioners of Police (CPs) in Lagos, Ogun, and other states

The announcement was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Placid, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Olatunji Fatai has been named the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State. He succeeds Moshood Jimoh, who has been redeployed to Zone 2, Lagos, following his recent promotion to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

“The postings are in line with the Force’s commitment to an effective command structure and the strategic deployment of personnel across commands, formations, and departments,” the statement said.

The IG explained that the redeployments are aimed at strengthening operations, enhancing leadership capacity, and improving service delivery across the country.
