Stonebwoy claims his ancestors were from the ancient Kingdom.
SB who is known to come from Ghana, says his tribe, Ewe were the original settlers of Ilesha in Osun State.
The dancehall star spoke in a recent chat with popular influencer, Ola of Lagos.
Speaking in Pidgin, Stonebwoy said, “Me sef nah Naija, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria. Check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba.”
