Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, has responded again to online criticism surrounding her marriage and her husband’s social media behaviour, making it clear that he should not feel pressured to post her online.
The discussion comes after Daniel shared a series of loved-up photos of the couple amid ongoing social media chatter about their relationship, where some users had suggested that he appeared less expressive while Toyosi was more invested in the marriage.
Reacting to the backlash, Toyosi dismissed the online pressure and questioned the expectations placed on her husband regarding public displays of affection.
“Do you people want me to be posting kissing videos of me and my husband on Instagram? Am I an actress? Does it generate income for me?” she said.
She further added that she had already told her husband not to feel obligated to post anything about her, insisting that people online were misinterpreting their dynamic.
“When I told the husband of my youth not to be under any pressure to post anything, they said ‘pick me doesn’t want to be picked again,’” she added.
Her comments come amid repeated public debates about the couple’s relationship, especially following Daniel’s earlier remarks and social media reactions that often place their marriage under scrutiny.
