Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has again dismissed speculations about his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), affirming his unwavering loyalty to the party

Speaking on Monday during the flag-off ceremony for the dualisation of the 3.5km Ila township road in Ila-Orangun, Adeleke emphasized that his only commitment is to serve the people of Osun and he remains focused on that mandate.
“I was elected on the platform of the PDP and so shall I remain in the party. I’m not going anywhere,” he declared.
He described the launch of the road project as a significant milestone, especially given the current economic challenges in the country, and reiterated his vow to God and the people of Osun to remain dedicated to their service.
The governor also highlighted his administration’s achievements, stating that over 175 kilometers of roads have already been reconstructed, rehabilitated, or renovated, with more dualisation and flyover projects underway across the state.
Adeleke stressed the importance of completing the 39km Osogbo–Ikirun–Inisha–Okuku–Ijabe–Ila Odo road, which links the state to neighbouring Kwara, saying it remains a priority project.
“The second phase, which we are flagging off today, is almost the same length as what was completed in 12 years. By the grace of God, we intend to deliver this project within 12 months,” he said.
“Our gathering here to witness the materialisation of a new era is not an accident of history. We are all programmed by Almighty God to be what we have been, what we are, and what we will be in the future.”
