Blord has broken his silence after regaining freedom from detention at the Kuje Correctional Centre, where he spent over two weeks following his arraignment in Abuja
Blord, who was initially remanded in custody until April 27 before securing bail, used the moment to publicly appreciate activist Omoyele Sowore for his role in pushing for his release.
Speaking after his release, the crypto entrepreneur revealed that Sowore’s intervention came at a critical time, despite the fact that they had never met prior to the incident.
“I was supposed to be in Kuje prison until the 27th, but Omoyele Sowore said over his dead body. I’ve never met him, but when he heard I was being intimidated, he stepped in. I’m now part of his team. Revolution!”
Blord also thanked Sowore for his commitment toward ensuring his bail, describing his involvement as decisive in securing his freedom.
The businessman’s release followed a Federal High Court ruling granting him bail on self-recognition after days of legal back-and-forth, including earlier delays caused by opposition filings and court scheduling issues.
His case, which stemmed from allegations including impersonation linked to social media personality VeryDarkMan, had attracted widespread attention online, with many Nigerians closely monitoring the developments until his eventual release.
