Omah Lay has once again boldly described himself as the greatest Afrobeats artiste of the decade, while making it clear that his claim is rooted in artistry rather than mainstream metrics
Speaking during an interview with Capital Xtra, the 28-year-old maintained his stance with confidence, declaring:
“I am the greatest Afrobeats artiste of the decade. I am the greatest.”

He went on to explain that he is not measuring his greatness by streaming numbers, fame, or public image, acknowledging that those factors might not place him at the top in the eyes of many.
“Well, you can say numbers, and personality, and the level of fame, and stardom, maybe you would not consider me. When it comes to the art itself, I am the greatest.”
The Port Harcourt-born singer has made similar remarks in the past, previously insisting that he stands out as one of the finest artistes Nigeria has produced in recent decades.
