Singer Niniola has opened up about the lasting pain of losing her father, retired Brigadier-General Simeon Apata, who was tragically m#rdered in 1995
She revealed that she was in the house when the attack occurred and described herself as her father’s favorite child.
“I was my father’s favourite child. I was in the house that day when he was murdered in 1995. Till today, I have not gotten over it. I can never get over it. It wasn’t a good memory,” Niniola said.
The traumatic incident has remained with her over the years, shaping her perspective and leaving an indelible mark on her life. Despite the pain, Niniola continues to honor her father’s legacy through her music, carrying forward the resilience and strength he instilled in her.
