In a recent interview, Imisi, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10 and one of the breakout stars of the reality TV franchise, spoke candidly about her ongoing relationship with her mother, revealing a mixture of forgiveness, faith, and cautious hope.
She described the bond as complicated, noting that while reconciliation has been difficult, her Christian faith has guided her toward forgiveness.
“She is my mom, and I’m a woman, I know the pain it takes to bring a child into this world,” Imisi shared.
‘If God wills it… yeah, I can forgive her. I’ve forgiven people who aren’t even related to me, so of course I can forgive her.”
Despite the challenges of a less-than-cordial upbringing, Imisi emphasized that she harbors no resentment.
“Growing up, we didn’t really have a strong relationship. But I don’t have anything against her. She’s doing well, and I’m doing well,” she explained.
When asked what she would want her mother to know, Imisi reflected thoughtfully.
“Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe she should just be a better person. But she should keep praying the Lord is with her.”
Imisi’s words highlight a balance of honesty and compassion, showing how faith, forgiveness, and understanding can shape even the most complicated family ties.
