Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has made a bold case for Imo people, placing them ahead of other Igbo states when it comes to spending, lifestyle and what he calls “doings.”
Comparing Imo with Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia, the socialite pointed to the way wealthy Imo people spend their money, using a $500,000 watch purchase as an example.
In a post he shared, he said:
“We have Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, but it’s we Imo that have more doings and the baddest in Igbo land.
“See what we have done, premium! Look at how we spent $500K (₦705 million) on a watch. An Anambra man will rather use that money to buy land. But we Imo people do it again and again, that’s who we are.”
For Cubana Chief Priest, the difference is not necessarily about who has more money, but about how that money is spent.
He portrayed Imo people as more willing to make loud, luxury-driven purchases, while suggesting that Anambra people are more inclined to put their money into land and property.
