Social media commentator, Justice Crack has questioned Nyesom Wike’s recent account of the strategy adopted by the G-5 governors during the 2023 presidential election
Wike, the FCT Minister earlier stated that the group deliberately allowed Peter Obi to win in Edo and Cross River so that the votes from those states would not strengthen the chances of Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate at the time.
According to Wike, the move was part of the group’s strategy to limit Atiku’s chances in the election.
Justice Crack questioned whether Wike’s explanation amounted to an admission of interference in the election. He also asked why the former Rivers State governor had not been invited by any security agency to explain the statement.
In a post he shared, Justice Crack said:
“So, is Wike essentially telling Nigerians that he rigged the 2023 election, yet no security agency has invited him for questioning? if we are normal in this country Wike should be with the DSS”.
