INEC Fixes Kogi Governorship Supplementary Election For Dec. 5, As APC Is Expected To Replace Audu

    The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has
    fixed Dec. 5 for the conduct of supplementary election to conclude the
    governorship poll in Kogi, which held on Saturday.
    A statement by the commission in Abuja on Tuesday said that
    the exercise would be conducted in the 91 polling units where voting was
    cancelled on Saturday due to some irregularities.

    According to the statement signed by INEC’s Secretary, Mrs
    Augusta Ogakwu, the commission will also allow the All Progressives Congress
    (APC) to replace its governorship candidate, the late Prince Abubakar Audu, in
    the election.
