Inflation falls to 16.05% in October

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased to 16.05 per cent in October 2025, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported

The NBS disclosed the figures in its Consumer Price Index and Inflation report on its verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday.

The data showed a drop from the 18.02 per cent recorded in September, while month-on-month, headline inflation rose by 0.93 per cent in October.

Food prices also showed signs of easing, with food inflation falling by 0.37 per cent compared to the previous month.

This marks the seventh consecutive month of decline in Nigeria’s inflation rate this year.
