Iran’s wartime chief of staff, Ali Shadmani, has been k!lled by the Israeli military, which on Tuesday identified him as the most senior Iranian military figure eliminated so far in the ongoing conflict

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Shadmani played a central role in shaping Iran’s military strategy and overseeing regional operations, but did not disclose the exact circumstances or location of his d3ath, according to Reuters.
SaharaReporters previously reported that the escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran have resulted in heavy casualties. At least 224 people have reportedly been killed in Iran, while Israel has recorded 24 deaths.
The international community, including nations such as China and Turkey, has urged both sides to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic solutions to avoid further bloodshed. However, the situation remains tense, with no signs of de-escalation from either side.
Meanwhile, leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) have issued a joint statement supporting Israel’s right to self-defense amid the rising tensions.
“We affirm that Israel has a right to defend itself. We reiterate our support for the security of Israel,” the G7 statement read.
The leaders also stressed the urgent need to protect civilians and called for a broader de-escalation in the region, including an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The conflict continues to draw international attention, with fears mounting over the potential for a wider war. Former U.S. President Donald Trump, who was attending the G7 summit in Canada, reportedly left the event early due to the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
