Is Davido coming home with a Grammy on Sunday?

Oh dear! The 66th Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Los Angeles

And the question on the lips of many music lovers in Nigeria and Africa, even the WORLD is, WILL DAVIDO BE TAKING HOME A GRAMMY???

No one has an answer to this, but the new dad of twins got a whooping 3 nominations, so we are almost sure, he will be coming HOME with one!

Immediately he got nominated, his uncle, Osun State Governor congratulated him, many politicians and office holders also did the same, and it felt like his nomination was very different.

The Presidency also congratulated him and other Nigerians nominated.

But if OBO dares to win 2 out of his nominations, omoh.. we go hear am, lol. 30BG people will not give us space to breath on social media oo.

Just dare open twitter, IG… lol. 30BG people will VICTIMIZE US, lmaoo. Winning one sef, we are not safe, not to talk of two! Lol.

His fourth studio album, Timeless was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category while Unavailable and Feel were nominated in the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance categories, respectively.

Davido will contest with his compatriot, Burna Boy and Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu and Gaurav Shah for the Best Global Music Performance gong.

He would also lock horns with Burna Boy, Susana Baca, Shakti, and Bokante in the Best Global Music Album category.

In the Best African Music Performance category, he will face off with familiar names – Asake, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy and South Africa’s Tyla.

Already Ayra Starr says she has her speech and outfit ready for that particular one.

While celebrating his nominations back then on his X handle, OBO had written;

“3 nominations at the Grammys! Delay is not denial!”

Honestly, it will be good to have him win at least one.

But wait! What if Olamide picks the one of his category? OMOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH woahhhhhhhhhh..
