Isaac Fayose has criticised the APC government, expressing concern about the economic situation in Nigeria and the growing challenges Nigerians face in their daily lives.
He stated that even people who are financially comfortable today could find themselves struggling if the country’s situation continues to worsen.
Fayose also questioned the level of security and access to quality healthcare in the country, pointing out that having money does not necessarily mean people can rely on local facilities when serious health problems arise. He noted that wealthy Nigerians often have to travel abroad for treatment when they need medical attention, raising concerns about the state of the country’s healthcare system.
He also brought up the issue of personal security, arguing that wealth alone cannot guarantee safety in a country where people may still feel the need to employ armed guards to protect their homes. According to him, even those with substantial financial resources have to take extra measures to protect themselves and their families.
Fayose expressed his concerns in these words:
“You see this APC government, if you’re not p00r yet, you will soon be p00r. You can have all the money in the world, and if anything happens to you, they will fly you abroad for treatment. Even with all your money, you still need people carrying güns at your gate for protection.”
