Davido’s aide, Israel DMW has responded to VeryDarkMan’s allegations involving the singer, Naira Marley and the late Mohbad, insisting that his boss had nothing to do with Naira Marley’s troubles or involved in how VDM was arrested.
In his response, Israel said Davido was not involved in the alleged WhatsApp group discussions and that those who joined the group did so without his knowledge or approval.
He also questioned the claims that Davido had issues with Samklef, wanted Mohbad’s music catalogue or tried to sign Zinoleesky.
Israel further explained that Davido refused to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram despite pressure from people around him at the time. According to him, Davido wanted the police to carry out their investigation rather than judge Naira based on allegations.
In a statement posted on his page, he wrote:
“Dearest Nigerians, my Oga had no hand in Naira Marley’s ordeals during his trying times in the Mohbad case or in any plot to have VDM arrested.
“Those who were in that WhatsApp group got there without his instructions or approval.
“Why would Oga be joining issues with Samklef? Did Oga call for Mohbad’s catalogue or even attempt to sign Zino? How na? Those who told VDM that fully lied.
“Serious pressure was put on Oga at the time to unfollow Naira on Instagram, but he categorically refused.
“He said he wanted the police to do their job and did not want to believe hearsay.
“Naira and Oga are 100% cool. They even made a hit song together.
“Regarding the incident at Naira’s house, it was our then Tolu 30BG who had an issue with one of Naira’s boys. Nobody was beaten or attacked.
Thank you all.”
Israel also addressed the reported disagreement at Naira Marley’s residence, saying it involved Tolu 30BG and one of Naira’s associates. He maintained that nobody was beaten or attacked.
