Popular businessman IVD has triggered a wave of reactions online after posting a shocking message on social media, where he accused an unnamed individual of orchestrating a relentless campaign to destroy his life
In the now-viral post, IVD alleged that the person has been paying bloggers to tarnish his reputation and has gone as far as threatening to kill him — either through poisoning or assassination.
“You said you’ve got all police contacts and nothing will happen if you kill me,” he wrote.
The controversial figure also claimed that the unnamed individual often boasts about their connections with law enforcement, allegedly saying they can cover up crimes, manipulate the police, and bail out even imposters.
But the most heartbreaking part of the post came when IVD accused the person of abducting his five children and keeping them away from him for the past three years.
“You punished them and told my first daughter Ebube that we’ll never be a family again,” he lamented.
This emotional outburst comes years after the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo, in 2022. She reportedly died from severe burns after a violent altercation in their Lekki home. Following her death, IVD was arrested and arraigned by the Lagos State Government on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. The couple shared five children.
Now, it appears the businessman has no access to his children and took to Instagram to vent his pain and frustration.
He also referenced a tragic incident that he says unfolded publicly in their estate — a memory that he claims continues to haunt him.
IVD further alleged that while he was in detention, the same unnamed person and their associates looted his belongings. Though some items were later recovered through police intervention, others, including his late wife’s possessions, remain missing.
“Everything you stole belongs to my kids. The day I speak, the world will know that men are going through hell too,” he wrote.
He ended the post with a chilling warning: “If anything happens to me, know that my life is in your hands. You said you’ve paid everybody to end my life. You’re not God.”
