Global music icon Shakira has spoken about her collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy on “Dai Dai,” one of the songs featured on the official album for the FIFA World Cup 2026
In a latest interview, the Colombian singer expressed her admiration for Burna Boy, revealing that she had long hoped to work with the Grammy-winning artiste.
According to Shakira, Burna Boy’s unique vocal style added a special touch to the song and elevated the final result.
She said:
“I always wanted to work with Burna Boy, his voice takes it to another level”
The collaboration is one of the standout tracks on the World Cup album, bringing together two of the biggest names in global music and further highlighting the growing international influence of Afrobeats.
