Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, has highlighted her role as the primary caregiver for their daughter, Imade Adeleke, in a detailed social media post
She explained that she has been raising Imade for the past five years, covering all her expenses except school fees, which her paternal grandfather has kindly handled. Addressing the false narratives circulating online,
Sophia wrote, “I woke up to numerous posts that were intentionally targeted at my lovely daughter and trying to portray a false image of her well being. As a fiercely protective mother, my initial reaction was emotional, but I knew that I had to stand up for my child.”
She described her daughter as “happy, healthy, and well-rounded,” and stressed that despite not receiving child support from Davido, “our child knows no lack. She is growing in a healthy environment and is very happy.”
To further emphasize her commitment, Sophia revealed, “I recently waived all outstanding child support payments and relinquished future claims. This decision has left me fully responsible for our child’s financial needs, which is a welcomed development by both parties.”
She also made clear that she has never denied Davido access to their daughter, prioritizing her safety and structured routines while ensuring a loving relationship with both parents.
Sophia concluded by urging the public to leave her daughter out of false stories, saying, “Moving forward, I kindly request that my innocent child be left out of false narratives and stories. Let’s channel our energy towards things that are more profitable and healthy.”
