Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed the drama surrounding one of her most devoted fans, Motun.
Motun, who gained attention for running an Instagram page dedicated entirely to Iyabo Ojo, allegedly took advantage of her fanbase.
She reportedly organized a fan “ajo” (a type of community savings scheme) promising contributors that they could meet Iyabo Ojo in person.
But things went sideways when people started complaining that they never received their turn or payouts, and some even claimed they were blocked when they asked questions. Naturally, the controversy dragged Iyabo Ojo’s name into the mix.
Speaking in an Instagram Live session, Iyabo Ojo made it clear she had no involvement in Motun’s scheme.
She explained that while she has shown support to Motun in her own way, she never gave her a lead role in her movie or authorized her to run any fan fundraising activities.
The actress also issued a firm message to Motun, asking her to stop promoting her movie and return a premiere ticket that had been given to her.
Iyabo’s statement puts an end to speculation, making it clear where she stands in the saga.
