The defense argued that the true killer was Bryant, citing DNA evidence on a hat found at the crime scene. Michael Hueston claimed, “Jay Bryant is literally reasonable doubt.”
Assistant US Attorney Artie McConnell emphasized greed, money, and jealousy as motives. The evidence, McConnell stated, proved Jordan and Washington were the killers.
Jam Master Jay, part of Run-DMC, left an indelible mark on Hip-Hop. Hits like “Walk This Way” defined the golden age.
Closure finally comes as a federal jury delivers a guilty verdict, ending the long-standing saga of Jam Master Jay’s tragic death.
