The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit, conducted for candidates affected by technical issues during the initial exam

The rescheduled exam was held for 336,845 candidates across 157 centers, mainly in Lagos and the South-East. However, 21,082 candidates were absent.
According to JAMB, the released results were thoroughly reviewed and validated by the Board’s Chief External Examiners and educational assessment expert Prof. Boniface Nworgu, using psychometric analysis.
Key Updates:
- Underage Candidates: While the results of underage candidates have been released, they remain ineligible for admission. These candidates had earlier signed an undertaking acknowledging their ineligibility.
- Candidates Involved in Malpractice: JAMB has decided to release the results of some candidates linked to online examination malpractice, including “WhatsApp runs.” However, the Board warned that this is a one-time gesture and cautioned against future misconduct.
- Mop-Up Exam: Candidates who missed both the main and rescheduled exams will be given another opportunity through a mop-up exercise.
How to Check Your Result: To check their results, candidates should text UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration. Standard SMS charges apply.
