Jennifer Lopez has requested to legally drop Ben Affleck’s surname after filing for divorce from the Gone Girl star

J.Lo, 55, submitted paperwork to the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday to legally end their marriage after just two years. She revealed their official date of separation was April 26, 2024.
In the court documents, the singer ticked a box requesting to have her maiden name restored after her divorce is granted. This will see her go from Jennifer Lynn Affleck back to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
Lopez filed her divorce papers by herself and without a lawyer on the two-year anniversary of her and Ben’s second wedding ceremony. The two tied the knot on July 26, 2022, but celebrated their wedding in Riceboro, Georgia, on August 20, 2022.
The former couple didn’t have a prenuptial agreement in place and J.Lo has waved spousal support, according to TMZ. She is also asking the judge to deny Ben spousal support.
