British-Nigerian actor John Boyega has welcomed his first child, revealing that he got married privately almost two years ago.
The Star Wars actor spoke about his marriage in a recent interview with The Guardian, explaining that he and his wife preferred to keep their wedding away from the public eye.
He said:
“We both like the idea of celebrating something established rather than celebrating the entry”.
Although they chose to keep the wedding small, Boyega hinted that a bigger celebration could still happen in the future. He joked that when the time comes, they would “have to shut Nigeria down! 😆 “.
The actor also spoke about how much he enjoys family life, saying:
“My life is completely fulfilled in terms of family. It’s been so nice with the timing.”
During the interview, Boyega revealed that he and his wife were expecting a baby boy. He has since confirmed the birth of their child in a post on Instagram.
“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too! Back to feeding this big baby!”, he added.
