Former WWE star John Cena posted a shocking photo from Anderson Center for Hair in Atlanta of his bald head after going through the second round of hair transplants
Cena received FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) treatment, a minimally invasive hair transplant that takes hair follicles from one part of the head and implants them in balding areas.
The 49-year-old’s hair transplant journey started in 2024, saying jokes from WWE fans pushed him to start.
“I saw their signs that said ‘The bald John Cena,’” he told People last August. “They pushed me into going to see what my options were. I now have a routine: red-light therapy, minoxidil, vitamins, shampoo, conditioner — and I also got a hair transplant last November.
“I hate the fact that if there wasn’t so much shame around it, I’d have gotten it done 10 years ago.”
Cena said after the surgery that it “completely changed the course of my life” and allows him to do more acting.
While a shaved head is not a necessity for the transplant, Cena said on Facebook he wanted the best possible results, so he “went all in.”
