Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, husband of Nigerian actress Priscilla Ojo, has responded to reports alleging that he is the father of another woman’s child.
The musician addressed the controversy in a statement shared on social media, explaining that he had initially chosen not to engage with the allegations because he believed they did not deserve public attention.
According to Jux, the claims had previously surfaced, prompting him to personally contact the woman involved to seek clarification. He said she denied ever having a sexual or romantic relationship with him and had asked him not to give the matter attention.
With the allegations now resurfacing and becoming more widespread, Jux said he has decided to pursue the matter through the appropriate legal channels.
In his words:
«“There have been reports circulating claiming that I am the father of someone’s child. I have been following this matter calmly, without giving it the attention it does not deserve.
However, because the issue has now gone too far and continues to involve my name, my family, my businesses, and the reputation I have built over many years through hard work and dedication, I feel it is important to address it briefly.
This matter has come up before, and because I was certain that these claims were completely untrue, I took the step of contacting the person involved directly to understand why she had made the statements she made previously.
The person confirmed, in her own words and voice, that she had never had any sexual relationship with me or been romantically involved with me, and even asked me not to give the matter any attention.
Since these allegations have now resurfaced and taken a different direction, the matter is now in the hands of the legal authorities, and further action will be taken against the person involved.
I would also like to urge the media and members of the public to avoid spreading misleading information without first confirming that it is true.
I have built my name, my brand, and my businesses over many years through hard work, discipline, and dedication. Therefore, anyone who chooses to associate my name, my family, or my businesses with false allegations must be prepared to be held accountable according to the law.
As for me, I have chosen peace, truth, and the appropriate legal action.
