The Nigerian Federal Government has taken a step to address food security concerns by donating 20 trucks of rice to be distributed across the country.
This donation is intended to reach all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, shared this information with reporters at the State House following a Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday. He emphasized that the rice is specifically meant for the most vulnerable members of Nigerian society.
Idris stated that this action demonstrates the Tinubu administration’s commitment to ensuring food availability for Nigerian citizens. The minister’s announcement highlights the government’s efforts to address food insecurity and provide support to those most in need.
